Fluence Analytics and Nalco Water Collaborate on an ACOMP Case History for Chemical Processing
Grant Heard, Quality Manager for Nalco Water, and Scott Meikle, Global Director for Nalco Water, collaborated with Alex Reed and Michael Drenski, Fluence Analytics’ CEO and CTO, respectively, on an ACOMP case history which appears in the September 2018 issue of Chemical Processing. The case history details Nalco’s use of ACOMP on an industrial, inverse emulsion polyacrylamide reactor. After monitoring more than 100 reactions, Nalco determined that its new realtime monitoring capability enabled a 15–20% reduction, on average, in batch cycle times for the aforementioned polyacrylamide reactor. After the smart manufacturing system yielded these savings, Nalco purchased a second ACOMP system for another reactor at its Garyville, La. facility.
