Applications Scientist

Fluence Analytics is looking for an enthusiastic full-time Applications Scientist. This is a research based position, and more than 70% of the position’s work will be focusing on interdisciplinary research in polymer and materials science and engineering fields. The ideal candidate is a strong and organized experimentalist, having experience in wet chemistry, sample handling, and use of instrumentation such as light scattering, various UV and IR spectroscopies, pumps, and millifluidics. Likewise, the candidate should be able to gather, handle, and analyze large streams of data. Additionally, the candidate should be a strong communicator, a fast learner, highly motivated and organized with a willingness to go above and beyond to get things done. Background in analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, chemical physics, polymer chemistry, synthetic chemistry, chemical engineering with the appropriate analysis background is a requirement. Experience with computer based data analysis is a plus e.g. Python, MATLAB, etc.

Product Deployment Engineer

Fluence Analytics is looking for an enthusiastic full-time Product Deployment Engineer. The successful Product Deployment Engineer has worked in the chemical manufacturing industry and has experience with project management and project engineering. Additionally, this person will ideally have process engineering, instrumentation, analysis and/or measurement background. Likewise, the individual is a strong communicator, a fast learner, highly motivated and organized with a willingness to go above and beyond to get things done. Background in chemical engineering, plant engineering, design engineering, or control systems engineering are bonus additional attributes of an ideal candidate.

Controls Engineer

Fluence Analytics is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated, experienced, full-time Controls Engineer. The successful Controls Engineer has worked with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), SCADA and HMI systems from design through execution. Fundamental knowledge in automation architecture, logic, documentation and programming are critical aspects of the role. Above all, this individual is highly motivated, curious, willing to learn and apply new concepts to go above and beyond to get things done. This person needs to be ready to develop and execute a direction for the controls architecture of our products. Background in automation of instrumentation for industrial environments in petrochemical or similar applications, from design through startup in manufacturing facilities are also additional attributes of our ideal candidate.

Manufacturing Engineering Technician

Fluence Analytics is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated, experienced, full-time Manufacturing Engineering Technician who will work closely with the Director of Engineering and Manufacturing to optimize the company’s manufacturing improvements and continuous enhancement efforts to meet accelerating demand for the company’s products. Previous experience working in engineering and/or manufacturing of products for industrial e.g. petrochemical, oil & gas applications is critical. Previous work with fluidic systems, or measurement products is a plus.
